1996–1998: The Foundation

The MDI story began in July 1996, when Mr. Reynaldo Encarnacion Jr. founded Marben Commercial in Bauan, Batangas. Starting as a focused, small-scale operation with a single sales staff member, the company was built on a simple but firm commitment: providing high-quality healthcare consumables and personalized service. By August 1998, the business officially established its footprint as a dedicated supplier for the Philippine medical community.

 

Expansion & Strategic Partnerships

What began with Kodak films and essential medical equipment—such as X-ray machines and defibrillators—quickly grew. Recognizing the evolving needs of healthcare providers, Marben Commercial expanded its portfolio to include a comprehensive range of surgical supplies and hospital consumables.

 

A defining chapter began in 2007, when Marben Commercial was appointed as an official business partner for Siemens Philippines. For nearly a decade, we were entrusted with distributing Siemens' most advanced imaging technologies, including CT Scans, MRI systems, and Interventional Angiography. This partnership allowed us to exclusively serve some of the most prestigious institutions in the country, including The Medical City (across all local and foreign branches) and the Philippine General Hospital (PGH).

2018 & Beyond: Diversification and Innovation

 

2018 marked a new era of growth as we incorporated into Marben Distributor Inc. With a larger, dedicated team and a newly expanded infrastructure, we successfully grew our clientele to serve a broader network of hospitals across the region.

Since 2022, Marben Distributor Inc. has operated from our strategic headquarters in Brentville, Mamplasan, Biñan, Laguna. This central hub allows us to seamlessly bridge the gap between global medical innovation and local patient care, fueled by long-standing partnerships with industry leaders such as:
